This unit is a real game-changer for my car. I can stream netlfix, youtube and everything. just remember to use sim card instead of hotspot. it turns my carplay to a whole another level. its worth what I paid. thank you carplay hacks. you always give us the best.

great product take all the features to car

You can hook this up with a USB C and use it to play apps on your car screen. It runs on Android, so it kinda makes your car an Android tablet. It's awesome for watching Netflix or any other video apps that you usually can't get. Everything worked really well. But the main problem that most people face is connecting it to the internet. So, you can use your phone as a hotspot, but fair warning: it'll drain your battery faster, and you'll lose some of those CarPlay and Android Auto features. The smartest move is to grab a SIM card for it, but then you're stuck with a monthly bill to keep it all running. If you can find a way to make it work for you, it's gonna be an awesome device! You can certainly watch a show in the meantime, or let the person sitting next to you see it.

This thing works if your car's got CarPlay and a touchscreen. But hey, before you run out and buy it, you probably want to ask a few more questions. You gotta know a bit about tech and really get what this device does right and what it kinda struggles with.

Performance: Very good. This has a fast processor and plenty of memory, unlike some of the other cheaper "AI Box" products out there from Ottocast or others. Easily the best that I have tried and seen so far.

Image/audio quality: Image quality is nice. I think the framerate might depend on the screen you're using. If the screen in your car has a low frame rate, that's what you're going to get. Mine was okay. There aren't any problems with the audio quality because I think all car manufacturers pay more attention to the audio than to the video.

Apps: Because this is running a new version of Android, you can get all the apps you like. But really, I've only played with a few thus far.

Interface: This is the hard part. On one side, it is much better than the "AI Boxes" from before. Ottocast's new interface is a big improvement and works well in many situations. Still, the interface has many ups and downs—buttons in most menus and apps (which Ottocast cannot control) are often too small, which forces you to look very closely at something that isn't the road.

Build quality: Excellent. It's a premium quality product.

In general, if you're into the techie stuff, then you probably know all the limitations of the device already. In that case, it's definitely one of the best among the "AI Boxes" bunch. If you don't even understand what I'm talking about here, though, then this type of device may not make much sense.
